Beef-Stuffed Shells Creamy Ricotta (Print Version)

Jumbo shells filled with seasoned beef and creamy ricotta, topped with marinara and melted cheese.

01 - 12 large pasta shells
02 - 1 pound ground beef
03 - 1 cup ricotta cheese
04 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
05 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
06 - 1 egg
07 - 2 cups marinara sauce
08 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
09 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
03 - In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
04 - In a bowl, combine the cooked beef, ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
05 - Stuff each pasta shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
06 - Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
07 - Place the stuffed shells in the baking dish and cover with remaining marinara sauce. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
08 - Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
09 - Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

01 - For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with sautéed vegetables or lentils.
02 - Can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
03 - Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving for added flavor.
